On Sept.12, 2008,the start of our fight with Ed's brain cancer began....He was diagnosed Oct. 16, 2008 with a GBM cancer tumor in his frontal lobe..Inoperatable we were told. At this time Ed lost the ability to speak as the tumor was quickly growing..Ed's treatment consisted of 30 days chemo and radiation to "try" to shrink the tumor. Halfway, his health began to fail, however as hard as it was, we completed the treatment so there was no doubt we were "not" doing the right thing..On Dec. 10, 2008, Ed was hospitalized with pneumonia, low blood count and a blood infection..We released him from the hospital Dec. 23, 2008 to spend his last holidays home with his family. Everyday Ed's health was failing and he sadly lost the battle on January 23, 2009. This tumor took away all Ed's abilities that we take for granted. The one thing this tumor did not take from Ed was the love for his family and friends. Our heavens must have needed a new Angel that day, and Ed was chosen.... He was the Best..Husband, Father, Father-in-law and Grandpa who is missed every day....xxxxx
